日本・インド・中国・インドネシアと結びついた参加型パフォーマンス・ディスカッションイベント

ディスロケイトは、アートとテクノロジー、地域性の在り方について考察することを目的としたプロジェクトです。作品の展示やシンポジウム、ワークショップの開催を通じて、空間や場所に対する意識やテクノロジーの進歩が私達の意識に与える影響について問いかけを行います。アーティスト間の交流だけでなく、地域に住民、地域の社会と積極的な交流を行うことが、活動の重要な要素となっています。

今回のディスロケイト「mediActions」では、インド・中国・インドネシア・日本のアーティストを6週間のアーティスト・イン・レジデンス・プログラムに招待します。レジデンス期間中アーティストは互いに協力し、イベントの参加者とアイディアやスキルを共有し、コラボレーションを行います。メディアを通してどのような社会参加が可能か、またどのような変化をおこすことができるのか、アートという媒介を通し考察していきます。2010年9月25日～11月13日まで3331において開催いたします。
このプロジェクトのプレイベントとして8月29日（日）14時～17時までネット上で4カ国と結び付け、同時の参加型パフォーマンス、またはディスカッションを行います。
また秋葉原の地域を見直すために8月8日にワークショップも開催いたします。詳細は下にご覧ください。

＜地図づくりイベント「Mapping Date」＠秋葉原　参加者募集！＞

秋葉原周辺の地図を作るワークショップイベントを開催します！
今秋、3331 Arts Chiyoda にて、アーティスト・イン・レジデンス・プログラム「mediActions」を開催するディスロケイト(Dislocate)。ディスロケイトは、アートとテクノロジー、地域性の在り方について考察することを目的としたプロジェクトです。「mediActions」の開催に先がけ、秋葉原の地域性を探るために地図作りワークショップを行います。
「地図作り」＝「街を描く行為」。
コピーやトレースでなく、ひとりひとりの街やパブリックスペースへの関わりについて考え、秋葉原の今と未来を描きたいと思います。

当日は、スタッフとイベント参加者が一人ずつあるいは数名ずつで組になり、一緒に秋葉原の街を歩きながら地図を作成します。

作成した地図は、8/20ー29の間 3331 Arts Chiyoda にて展示されます！

Examining the cross-section of media technology, public space and civic action mediActions poses a question to the promise of new technologies as activators of social and political change. Visions of the internet and other forms of media as the aggregators of democracy and engagement in civil society have created unfulfillable utopian dreams yet as these media forms construct a new layer of the concrete spaces which we inhabit, can we discover their potential for participation, action and activism?　　This project will be realized as an artist in residence program bringing together artists from Japan, India, China and Indonesia in a collaborative investigation in the surrounding area of 3331 Arts Chiyoda and Akihabara from 25th Spetember-13th November 2010. As a warm up to this project dislocate will be holding a participatory event at 3331 as part of the "3331 Presents TOKYO:Part 2" exhibition. The event will connect the four participating countries in this project with live simultaneous performances from each artist, which the audience will also have the opportunity to participate in. The artists will also present about their works and shall enter into a discussion upon the function of technology as a tool for social/political engagement. In preparation for this event dislocate will also be holding a workshop on 8th August in the Akihabara area. Meeting at Akihabara station electric town exit - north side at 14:30 participants will be divided into pairs and asked to explore the area, tweeting their observations through text, photos and video simply using the email messaging of their mobile phone.
